Closure due to Fire

Back in January 2009, we had a fire and have been closed ever since. The Jews House is a grade one listed building so the heritage are over looking the restoration, which is why it has taken a year already.

Finally they have given the council the go-ahead for the work to commence which will hopefully begin in the next 2 weeks, fingers crossed !

We hope to be back open early spring.

To keep ourselves busy over the last year we have been helping at our friends, Restaurant 1877 in Nottingham, a good excuse to talk food, swap cook books and share ideas.

We  were in partnership with a local  continental coffee house serving Tapas style food which since our love for Barcelona and their culture it was an ideal venue for us.

Our time at Coffee Aroma has passed us by so quickly and in readiness to concentrate our efforts on the re-opening of The Jews House we have now moved on. We hope in the future to create some tapas style evenings at The Jews House.
